I work on phylogeny, biology, taxonomy, immature stages and other evolutionary aspects of beetles (Coleoptera), particularly those feeding on plant tissue and thus threatening Canadian plant resources. The group I presently focus on is the superfamily Curculionoidea (= weevils, particularly from the forest leaf litter). My geographical focus is mainly Asia Pacific, although whenever possible I try to maintain a cosmopolitan approach.
