Chromosomal variation of populations of Chironomus plumosus Linnaeus (Diptera: Chironomidae) from lakes of Kaliningrad, RussiaPetrova N.A., Vinokurova N.V., Danilova M.V.Abstract. Polymorphism of natural populations of Chironomus plumosus from lakesof Kaliningrad with the presence of heavy metals (Pb, Cd, Fe, Zn, Cu, Mn, Ni, Cr, Co) inthe ground was investigated. An increase in the number of heterozygous inversionsper individual in the reservoir with the highest concentration of heavy metals is revealed.The rare inversions pluA6 and pluF5 were found in the most polluted reservoirs. |
