Обзор известных паразитов шерстистого мамонта (Mammuthus primigenius Blumenbach, 1799)

Резюме

Палеонтологические исследования в первую очередь основаны на изучении скелетных остатков организмов, но обнаружение мерзлых мумий плейстоценовых млекопитающих с сохранившимися мягкими тканями и внутренними органами позволяет выявить особенности биологии животных, не доступные при изучении скелетов. Ископаемые мумии становятся ценным источником информации о диете, сезоне гибели, миграциях и экологии, болезнях, в том числе паразитарных. Случаи обнаружения ископаемых паразитов у плейстоценовых млекопитающих всегда редки и случайны; до последнего времени специальных исследований на предмет поиска древних паразитов не проводили. В настоящий момент известны паразиты индигирского суслика, узкочерепной полевки Егорова, первобытного бизона, ленской лошади, шерстистого мамонта. В настоящей работе приводится обзор находок паразитов только шерстистого мамонта Mammuthus primigenius (Blumenbach, 1799). За два века изучения этого вида накоплено большое количество разнообразных данных. Целью работы было сделать обзор случаев обнаружения паразитов у этого вида слонов. В статье рассмотрены результаты изучения таких находок мумий мамонтов, как Березовский, Шандринский, Киргиляхский, Сопкаргинский. В результате работы установлено наличие эктопаразитов отряда Diptera: Cobboldia (Mamontia) russanovi Grunin, 1973 и Protophormia terraenovae Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830. Видоспецифический эктопаразит у мамонта – желудочный овод Cobboldia (Mamontia) russanovi. Также в мумиях мамонтов обнаружены гельминты классов Nematoda и Cestoda. В настоящий момент достоверно определить видоспецифических эндопаразитов мамонтов не удалось.
