Member of the Russian Menzbir Ornithological Society (1983). Member of the St. Petersburg Society of Naturalists (1992). Member of the Russian Bird Conservation Union (1999).

The main field of scientific interests and activities
are animal demography, population biology of birds, dispersal and avian population dynamics. The main objects of investigations are from ordo Passeriformes and ordo Charadriiformes (subfamily Scolopacinae). In addition, I teach course “Introduction to animal demography and methods of analyses capture-recapture data” in Vertebrate Dept. of Biological Faculty of State St. Petersburg University.
