Casimir V. Bolshakov Director Born in 1943 in Svirsk, Irkutsk Region, Siberia.

I graduated from Leningrad State University in 1973 with a diploma in zoology (Dept. Vertebrate Zoology). Obtained a Ph.D. degree at the Leningrad State University in 1976.
I am working at Rybachy since October 1976, since 1992 I am the director of the station.
Doctor of Science. Scholary interests are in the field of avian ecology and behaviour, mainly all aspects of avian migratory systems. Over 70 publications, ca. 50 of them devoted to the nocturnal migration. More than 10 years I worked on nocturnal migration in deserts and highlands of western Central Asia.
