Мое знакомство с Енгоком Лимом началось по переписке, когда в конце 2018 г. он обратился ко мне с просьбой принять его в ЗИНе, который он хотел посетить для фотографирования типа Callipogon relictus. Предполагалось, что он прилетит на неделю в конце февраля 2019 г. познакомиться с коллекцией усачей и пофотографирует своей камерой различные виды рода Callipogon. Позднее в ЗИНе выяснилось, что Енгок защищал диссертацию по паразитам древообитающих жуков, а уже потом стал заниматься больше хозяевами, не забывая однако и их паразитов. Енгок был впечатлен в ЗИН экземплярами усачей, собранных в Корее более 100 лет назад, и ему понравилась рабочая обстановка в нашей коллекции.
