Grassflies of the family Chloropidae (Diptera) of A.P. Fedchenko’s Turkestan collection with description of new taxa

Abstract. Sixteen species are found in the chloropid collection made by A.P. Fedchenko in Turkestan in 1869–1871 and three more species were identified to the generic level only. A new genus, Alajichlorops, and four new species, A. fedchenkoi, Chlorops kirghisicus, Ch. olgafedchenkoae, and Polyodaspis palpata are described. A key for the palaearctic species of the genus Polyodaspis Duda, 1933 is presented.
