Abstract. Free-living freshwater nematodes from Borneo Island (Kalimantan) have not been studied before. In the article, a brief list of nematodes found in shallow rivers and streams of the North Borneo (Malaysia, Sabah State) is given. The few samples with single specimens of nematodes suggest similarity of the nematode fauna of the entire Malay Archipelago.
