New and a little known species of the weevil genus Rhamphus from Sri Lanka, Ethiopia and Namibia (Coleoptera: Curculionidae)

Abstract. Rhamphus medvedevi sp. n., with single tarsal claws, from Sri Lanka is the first record of the genus Rhamphus Clairv. from the Oriental Region. Two new species are described from Ethiopia: Rhamphus amplipennis sp. n. and Rh. kazabi sp. n., and Rh. namibicus sp. n. – from Namibia. Rh. kiesenwetteri Tourn. is recorded from Ethiopia.
