New synonyms in the weevil genus Otiorhynchus (Coleoptera: Curculionidae)

Abstract. The following new synonyms are established: Otiorhynchus unctuosus Germar, 1824 = O. altajensis L. Arnoldi, 1975, syn. n.; O. beatus Faust, 1890 = O. abakanensis L. Arnoldi, 1975, syn. n.; = O. sharanuri L. Arnoldi, 1975, syn. n.; O. pulverulus Boheman, 1843 = O. skorikovi L. Arnoldi, 1992, syn. n. O. unctuosus is recorded from China for the first time. Host plants are reported for O. unctuosus, O. beatus and O. strebloffi.
