On the taxonomic position of Eriophonus Tschitschérine (Coleoptera: Carabidae)

Abstract. The genus Eriophonus Tschitschérine, 1901 is treated as a member of the Ophoniscus-complex of the Selenophori group. A lectotype is designated for Ophonus grandiceps Reitter, 1900.
