¡¾Introduction¡¿


Ladybird beetles are familiar to people because of their
prettiness and scientific importance. This book, the first
section is focus on morphological characters of adult and
immature stages, feeding habits, collecting, mounting and
photograph. The second section is a systematic account of
Chinese species of Coccinellidae. A total of 375 species and
subspecies including 10 subfamilies, 22 tribes and 89 genera
of subgenera in China are described. Subfamily and tribe names
in this book are arranged according to the taxonomy system by
Pang et al. (2004), but genera and species are arranged in
Latin alphabetical sequence.
