Solodovnikov, A.Yu. 2001. Revision of the little-known apterous Paederinae (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae) from "Circassia" (North-Western Caucasus), with description of Lathrobium (Lobrathium) bettae sp.n. // Russian Entomological Journal.

Lathrobium (Lobrathium) bettae sp.n. from the North-Western Caucasus is described and compared with the closely related L. (L.) reitteri Czwalina. Two species: L. (s. str.) eppelsheimi Czwalina and L. reitteri are redescribed and illustrated. Primary and secondary sexual characters are described and figured, habitus illustration is provided, and lectotype is designated for Nazeris pallidipes Reitter. Data on distribution and bionomics of all the species treated are summarized. Geographic limits of "Circassia", as well as possible location of G. Czwalina's types are discussed.

Goreslavets, I.N., Solodovnikov, A.Yu., Gildenkov, M.Yu. and Grebennikov, K.A., 2001. Fauna and bionomics of the rove-beetles of Samara Region in European Russia. Subfamilies Omaliinae, Proteininae, Tachyporinae, Habrocerinae, Oxytelinae, Oxyporinae, Steninae, Euasthetinae, Paederinae and Staphylininae// Entomologicheskoje Obozrenie. Vol. 80. [in Russian].

For the first time, the faunal list of rove beetles (Coleoptera, Staphylinidae) based on the focused collecting, and incorporating the previously published records, is compelled for Samara Region (Samarskaya Oblast [former Kuybyshevskaya Oblast]) of European Russia. The list contains 289 species of Staphylinidae from 10 subfamilies: Omaliinae (19), Proteininae (3), Tachyporinae (39), Habrocerinae (1), Oxytelinae (51), Oxyporinae (2), Steninae (31), Euasthetinae (1), Paederinae (38) и Staphylininae (105). 150 of all species are recorded here for the first time. For the great majority of taxa in the list, data on local distribution and bionomics, obtained during collecting of material, are provided. Previous contributions to the knowledge of Staphylinidae of Samara Region are reviewed in the introductory part of the paper. All faunal data are arranged in table format.
