Relations of the Classifiers and Factographic Tables Connections

A separate table ZOOCOD is of great value as a reference book. However much greater opportunities are provided by systems comprising separate tables -- classifiers. Three of these are shown in the upper part of this figure. Factographic tables are created on their basis in the PARHOST1 system. An example of such a table is given in the lower part of the figure.

This approach is unusual. In other analogous systems all information on distribution and life history is entered in the form of arbitrary text records. This restricts usage of this information by information retrieval.
