Plus two RECEPTIONS and BANQUET !!! All-day tour is planned for Sunday
23rd. A full social and cultural Programme with English-speaking guides,
will be available for accompanying persons.
Three star hotel in the historic center of the city provides participants
with comfortable single rooms, or double rooms when the participant is
travelling with an accompanying person.
Registration fees are all-inclusive: symposium, hotel, meals, excursions,
social events, airport transfers, etc.
Scientists from Eastern, Central Europe and China, as well as students
will be able to register at a reduced cost, with an accomodation in the
Academy of Science Hotel and some changes in the cultural program (=GREEN
PARTICIPATION).
Registration and abstract deadline is April 15, 1999.

From St.Petersburg Pulkovo Airport to Moskovskaya underground (metro)
station
From Moskovskaya underground station to Nevsky prospect
Take the underground train to Nevsky Prospect. Get off at Nevsky Prospect
station (it is not the final stop of the train!). Journey time is about 30
minutes. Use the exit to Griboedova Canal.
From Nevsky prospect to Zoological Institute
How to get to the Hotel Rus
(Artilleriyskaya ul., 1, 191104, St. Petersburg;

From St.Petersburg Pulkovo Airport to Moskovskaya underground (metro)
station
From Moskovskaya underground station to Chernyshevskaya station
Take the underground train (single line there). Get off at
Tekhnologichesky Institute and change the train at the same platform
(simply cross the platform). Get off at Chernyshevskaya underground station.
Journey time is about 30 minutes.
From Chernyshevskaya underground station to Hotel Rus.
About 5-10 minutes walk. Along Kirochnaya street till the first crossing,
then along the Mayakovskogo street till the second crossing street
(a bright shild "Hotel Rus" is clearly seen above crossing), then turn right
along Artilleriyskaya street until you see the hotel on your left.

From St.Petersburg Pulkovo Airport to Moskovskaya underground (metro)
station
From Moskovskaya underground station to Udel'naya station
Take the underground train (single line there). Get off at
Udel'naya underground station. Journey time is about 30 minutes.
From Udel'naya underground station to the Academy of Sciences Hotel.
About 5-10 minutes walk. Cross Engelsa prospect and find the building
Engelsa prospect, 65. It is your hotel.
How to reach the Zoological Institute from the Hotel Rus
MORNING bus transportation for participants accommodated at the Hotel
Rus is included in the Symposium Fee!
How to reach the Hotel Rus from the Zoological Institute
We reccommend a walk across the historic part of the city.
Cross the Palace Bridge to Winter Palace (the Hermitage). From there you
can easily reach your Hotel Rus along the Millionnaya street (all building
of which are palaces of Great Princes) to Mars Field, then from Summer Gardens
along Pestel street to Liteiny prospect, and finally around the corner near
Spaso-Preobrazhensky Cathedral to Mayakovskogo street. Second crossing street
with a bright shild "Hotel Rus" will be Artilleriyskaya st., with a hotel on
the left side of the street. Journey is 20-25 min afoot.
How to reach the Zoological Institute from the Academy of Sciences Hotel
From Udel'naya underground station to the Nevsky Prospect station
Take the underground train (single line there). Get off at Nevsky Prospect
stop (15 minutes). Use the exit to Griboedova Canal.
From Nevsky prospect to Zoological Institute
Take a bus 7 or trolleybuses 1, 7 or 10 to Universitetskaya Naberezhnaya.
Bus stop is at the same side of the Nevsky prospect, just near an entrance to
the underground station. Get off at Universitetskaya Naberezhnaya (next stop
from the Hermitage and Dvortsovaya [Palace] square, over a bridge).
Journey time is about 10-15 minutes.
On arrival
Registration is in the hotel and at the Zological Institute.
