Vedma circe (Hymenoptera: Chalcidoidea: Pteromalidae), a new genus and species from South Korea

Abstract. The article provides a detailed, illustrated description of a new genus and species, Vedma circe gen. et sp. nov., belonging to the tribe Miscogastrini (Chalcidoidea: Pteromalidae: Miscogastrinae) from South Korea. The new genus is distinguished by the following combination of characters: a massive head; lower margin of the clypeus with three asymmetrical teeth; large, circular tentorial pits positioned on either side of the clypeus; a rounded and sloping pronotal collar; a mesosoma with complete, shallow, widely spaced notauli; and the forewing with a large stigma.
