IV International Conference on Karyosystematics of the Invertebrates

The Conference will be held at the Zoological institute of the Russian Academy of Science. The Zoological institute is located on the Universitetskaya emb., 1. Please, take municipal bus nos. 7, 10, 47, fixed-route taxis nos.147, 209, 128, 129, 141, 147, 209, 252, 228. trolleybus nos. 1, 7, 10 up to stops "University", "Universitestkaya naberezhnaya”, or “Birzhevaya ploshad”.Registration and payments
Registration desks will be open at the Zoological institute during August 28-29, 2006 between 9:30 - 15:00. Registration fee is 30 EUR and can be paid during registration.Presentation
Participants will be provided with notebook computer and equipment for multimedia projection, overhead-projector and equipment for the slide report. Duration of presentation is 20 min including time for short discussion. Coffee break duration is 15 min.Publication
The Book of Abstracts will be published by the beginning of the Conference. The organizing committee plans to publish reports of participants as the English-language scientific articles in the new journal "Comparative Cytogenetics". Participants of conference can submit their manuscripts to the editorial board during the Conference. The publication (printed and electronic version) of the first volume of Journal is planned in 2007.Excursion
During the Conference the bus sightseeing tour on city and the bus excursion in the resplendent suburb of St.Petersburg – Pushkin (Tsarskoe Selo) are planned. The preliminary cost of excursion in Pushkin is 100 rbl.Accommodation
Participants can choose every type of accommodation convenient for them, including those provided by travel agency. Organizing Committee suggests for your consideration several non-expensive hotels:1. Hotel “Nauka-1”. Milionnaya street, 27. 10 minutes on foot up to Zoological Institute.
Double-room – 1800 RBL per day (about 52 EUR), bed in double-room – 900 RBL per day (about 27 Euro), single-room – from 1300 RBL per day (about 38 EURO).
2. Hotel “Nauka-2”, Engels prospect, 65/2.
30 minutes by subway + 20 minutes by bus up to Zoological Institute.
Double-room – 2000 RBL per day (about 60 EUR), bed in double-room – 990 RBL per day (about 30 Euro), single-room – from 1200 RBL per day (about 36 EURO).
3. Hotel «Esplanada». Ligovskiy prospect, 130.
20 min by bus up to bus station Bolshaja Morskaya + 10 min on foot up to Zoological Institute. Double-room – 1200-1400 RBL per day (35-41 EUR), bed in double-room – 600-700 RBL per day (about 20 EUR), single room – 1550 RBL per day (about 45 EUR)

Invitation Letter
Persons requiring an official letter of invitation in order to attend the conference can write to the Organizing Committee. Persons requiring the scientific visa for visiting Russia should inform Organizing committee as soon as possible. Documents required for official invitation: copy of passport (double page with photo), data on work status, working address, information on terms of visit.At the final day of conference a Banquet is planned, preliminary cost - 250 rubles.
