Cytoarchitectonics of the telencephalon of a Corvus cornix L. (Aves, Passeriformes, Corvidae)

Preparation

SPSU-ODK-AVES-1-1

Description: Frontal (transverse) paraffin sections through a telencephalic hemisphere of a carrion crow stained with toluidine blue by the Nissl method. The section shows the overal structure (cytoarchitecture) of a telencephalic hemisphere, and the distribution pattern of neuronal populations in different regions of the hemisphere. The boundaries between these regions are clearly visible.

Organs: сentral nervous system, cerebral brain or its part

Methods: Neurohistology - Nissl staining
